But in the time since Chris Thomas, Bob Rowe and his son Simon founded this unique dual–species meat production and export company in 1988, T&R has come to stand for a lot more to its customers, suppliers and staff. Like total reliability. Whether we’re talking people. Product. Or service. It all starts at the top: the founders (all of whom are still immersed in the business) have a combined experience in the industry totaling 115 years. This is a company that thinks globally but acts locally. While T&R Pastoral trades with the world, it is a primary producer which has grown up in the heart of several rural South Australian communities. From idyllic clean, green properties dotted throughout southern Australia to the processing plant at Murray Bridge and then on to the shipping container, quality and food hygiene are observed obsessively. And because the company controls everything — from procurement and feedlot through to processing, packing and shipment — it guarantees the best quality livestock, which in turn produce the best quality meat: the proof is in the eating.
